The Teach Against Genocide Campaign

The Teach Against Genocide (TAG) campaign strives to help pass and implement state-level legislation across the country that directs public schools to integrate genocide education into their curricula. An integral part of this campaign is to get funding allocated to empower educators with the training and resources necessary to effectively teach this complicated and sensitive subject in the classroom.

Is genocide being taught in your state? Click on a state below to see if your state has any relevant legislation or existing academic standards. Each profile also includes information on genocide education state resources.

While we will be updating these profiles periodically, please contact Info@TeachAgainstGenocide.org with any new or missing information!

As the map above shows, only a handful of states have legislation that mandates that the subject of genocide needs to be included in public education. Even fewer states have legislation that allocates funding for teacher training regarding this critical subject.

We need your help to give every American student the opportunity to learn about this important subject that is extremely relevant to our world today.
